Open thread for discussion of Manjula Padmanabhan, Harvest; Catherine Waldby and Robert Mitchell, “The Laws of Mo(o)re”; and Repo! The Genetic Opera.
(There were some great comments in earlier open threads that I will try to move here if I can.)
Let’s split the comments into two parts and have the last 35-40 posts in this thread.
This is a prompt about your close reading assignments for VAS. Repeat of assignment text below:
“Contribute one post about one aspect of the novel, VAS: An Opera in Flatland, which we will be discussing in week 4. This is the only blog post that has a deadline; ideally you would post during our reading week (January 19-21) but you should finish this assignment by January 26 at the latest. The genre of this post is that of the close reading. Length should be about 500 words.”
Post as a comment on this thread or you can start your own if you’d like (email me to set it up).
There is an open thread for discussion on a separate page. Or you can comment on one of the posts on the front page. Chatter away.
